A five- week Cardiac Ultrasound School organized by the Sector for scientific- research work and education, University Clinical Center Tuzla and the Tuzla Canton Medical Chamber started today on 30 January, 2023.
This quality medical training for doctors represents the path to ultrasound proficiency, and it is designed to increase participants’ knowledge, skill and ability to safely and efficiently use cardiac ultrasound equipment, and to perform and interpret echocardiograms independently.
Assoc. Prof. Igor Hudić, medical director in his welcome speech to the participants said:” The Cardiac Ultrasound School is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. I believe that this year’s school will be as successful as the previous ones.”
Dr. Mirsad Selimović, head of the Clinic for Internal Medicine also addressed the participants: I expect that this School curriculum will provide all participants with a chance to learn about the current knowledge and clinical implications of the echocardiographic assessments.”
The lecturers at this School are eminent sonographers from Bosnia and Herzegovina and the University Clinical Center Tuzla.
The leader of this year’s school is Dr. Elnur Smajić, specialist in internal medicine, subspecialist cardiologist and chief of the Department for Cardiology, Clinic for Internal Disease.
