The opening ceremony of the 9th Symposium on Lung Diseases with international participation took place at the Hotel Salis in Tuzla. The program of Symposium comprises 28 professional researches that will be presented in four sessions for over 200 registered participants. This year’s Symposium aims to present updated knowledge and experiences, as well as revised guidelines in treatment in the field of pulmonology.
Eminent experts from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia and Slovenia will talk about the trending themes related to the respiratory system such as malignant, viral and allergic diseases and chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases.
The head of the Clinic for Pulmonary Diseases, University Clinical Center Tuzla Dr. Dženan Halilović in his opening remarks expressed satisfaction with the continuation of professional education which was suspended when the COVID pandemic broke out. He said that the organizers of the Symposium have chosen various and trending topics to be included in a scientific program. These topics will be discussed by the very best pulmonology & respiratory medicine specialists.
The Ministar of Health of the Tuzla Canton Dr. Duška Bećirević and director of the University Clinical Center Tuzla Prof.Dr. Denijal Tulumović delivered speeches at the opening ceremony. Throughout his speech director Tulumović greeted all of the participants and members of the Symposium, commended the organizers of the Symposium, and wished the participants success in their work, useful and interesting discussions and conclusions that will serve as a vehicle for further advance of this field of medicine.
The Ninth Symposium on Lung Diseases with international participation was declared officially open by the President of the Tuzla Canton Assembly, Žarko Vujović.
