Representatives of the UKC Tuzla Clinic for Children’s Diseases and the Association of Families and Friends of Children suffering from leucemia and other malignant diseases “PIPOL” held a meeting today. During the meeting the overall status of the project “Reconstruction of the UKC Tuzla Clinic for Children Diseases- Department for Hematology and Oncology” was discussed and the carried out activities presented. The meeting attended Mayor Jasmin Imamović and his associates, as well as representatives of the Tuzla Canton Ministry of Health, the Municipality of Srebrenik, the FB&H Association Hearth for Children suffering from cancer and Deling company.
On behalf of the University Clinical Center Tuzla participants were addressed by Medical director Prof. Dr. Fahrija Skokić, Head of Clinic for Children’s Diseases Ass, Prof. Edin Husarić, Chief of Department for Hematology and Oncology Dr. Amila Latifagić, while Mrs.Amra Saračević spoke on behalf of the Association “PIPOL”.
It was pointed out that the project aims to ensure adequate conditions for staying and treatment of hospitalized children suffering from malignant diseases from the Tuzla Canton.
The new premises of the Department after reconstruction will consist of 5 patients’ rooms, two bathrooms, two lobbies with three toilets and one shower, two doctors’ offices, hospital storage, nursing station and playground for the little patients.
