Numerous adaptation projects have been initiated at the University Clinical Center Tuzla in 2024 to improve working conditions for health professionals and patient comfort.
Currently, the final phase of works on the implementation of the energy efficiency project, which are being carried out at the Clinic for Internal Medicine, is underway. As part of the implementation project of energy efficiency measures carried out by the BEEP implementation unit of the Federal Ministry of Spatial Planning at the Clinic for Internal Medicine, University Clinical Center Tuzla, all external windows and doors are being replaced with new PVC joinery with improved characteristics of the heat transfer coefficient. A new thermal facade according to the ETICS system with a layer of thermal insulation of 10 cm, distribution of a new lightning protection network, and internal work on processing around the newly installed joinery is being done.
The works are currently in the final phase, and the expected completion of the works is mid-March 2024. All works were financed with loans from the World Bank through the Federal Ministry of Spatial Planning, and the value of the project is about 2,000,000 KM. Works on the adaptation and reconstruction of the entire area of the Outpatient clinic of the Clinic for Oncology and Radiotherapy and the Clinic for Hematology, University Clinical Center Tuzla are in the final phase and are being carried out by the company Deling Tuzla.
At the Gradina facility renovation work is underway on the flat roof above the operating rooms. Funds, in the amount of 66,000 KM, for the implementation of these activities were provided by the Government of Tuzla Canton, the Ministry of Spatial Planning and Environmental Protection, through the Action Plan for the Energy Efficiency of Public Buildings in the territory of Tuzla Canton. Also, renovation of the roofs of the laundry and boiler room facilities, as well as the porter’s office at the entrance to the University Clinical Center Tuzla complex, is in progress. The material donor is Disk Živinice, and the contractor is Elektrocentar Petek Tuzla. The adaptation of all the changing rooms used by pupils and students attending practical training at the University Clinical Center Tuzla has also been completed.
The playground in front of the Clinic for Children’s Diseases is ready for children’s play. After several donors collected almost 30,000 KM in the campaign of the Tuzla Community Foundation “For children’s play and joy” in the past few weeks, furniture with a protective surface was installed in the park in front of the children’s hospital. In order to maintain its reputation as a regional leader in providing the best health care services, the management of the University Clinical Center Tuzla strives to continuously improve the quality of care and overall patient satisfaction.
