Senka Dervišević, MSci., a graduate nurse and long-time employee of the Clinic for Children’s Diseases at the University Clinical Center Tuzla, passed away on June 27, 2024 at the age of 49.
She completed her primary and secondary medical education in Tuzla. She attended medical college in Banja Luka, graduating on November 4, 2008, with the title of graduate nurse. On March 3, 2021, she obtained a Master of Science in Nursing from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Tuzla.
She authored the book “Alchemy of the Soul,” which vividly and emotionally chronicles her personal battle with leukemia. Her story resonates deeply with anyone facing a similar struggle, as her words offer a profound understanding of their experience.
Senka dedicated her career to the Clinic for Children’s Diseases, where she served as a responsible nurse in the Department of Hematology and Oncology, assisting children with malignant diseases. Her contributions to the development of the Oncology and Hematology Department at the University Clinical Center Tuzla will be long remembered.
