The expert commission appointed by the Federal Minister of Health visited the University Clinical Center Tuzla to perform an on- site survey and to evaluate the hospital for compliance with the standards of practice for the most complex invasive-interventional, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures on blood vessels such as endovascular embolization, carotid artery stenting, and endovascular aneurysm coiling and stenting. The commision consisted of the following members: Prof. Dr. Josip Mašković from Split, Prof. Dr. Marko Radoš from Zagreb and Prof. Dr. Vesna Sarajlić from Sarajevo.
The UKC Tuzla director, Ass. Prof. Nešad Hotić with his associates has received three distinguished guests and presented organizational structure, accomplishments, annual goals and long-term plans and projects of our institution.
After a brief introduction, the guests were introduced with the project of endovascular neurointerventions at the UKC Tuzla presented by Ass. Prof. Mirza Moranjkić.
At the end of the meeting, the guests were invited to visit the angiography room, computed tomography, intensive care union and other facilities of Neurosurgery and Radiology.
While assessing the results of the endovascular team, Prof. Dr. Marko Radoš gave a positive comments on the wide spectrum of endovascular interventions being performed in the UKC Tuzla. Also, he highlighed the importance of relevant results stemmed from evidence- based clinical practice developed by the UKC Tuzla endovascular team.
Prof. Dr. Vesna Sarajlić said that Bosnia and Herzegovina is taking a step forward with the introduction of a new medical procedures and expressed her happines and appreciation for highly skilled medical professionals who perform the world’s top medical procedures.
