These multifunctional hospital beds are designed to meet the highest healthcare safety standards. Equipped with specialized medical mattresses featuring anti-decubitus properties, they offer a fully adjustable system to enhance patient comfort and care.
“The equipping of our clinic with these advanced beds was completed in three phases,” stated Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zlatan Mehmdović, Head of the Surgery Clinic. “First, two beds were donated by EM-Oniks d.o.o. Lukavac, followed by a donation of 15 beds from the Red Cross Tuzla. Finally, 21 beds were contributed by Sveta Filomena Hospital in Rosenthal, Germany, thanks to the support of the Mayor of Tuzla. With this, two-thirds of our clinic’s bed capacity now consists of electric surgical beds, ergonomically designed to enhance the quality of care for both patients and staff.”
With the support of the Government of Tuzla Canton, the management of the University Clinical Center Tuzla is actively pursuing projects to enhance patient and employee conditions and service quality. According to Prof. Dr. Šekib Umihanić, Director of the Clinical Center Tuzla, significant advancements have been made over the past year at the Surgery Clinic, including the procurement of essential medical equipment. Key acquisitions include an endoscopic tower to support minimally invasive surgeries, as well as operating tables and lights, which have been installed in the new surgical suite to improve surgical capacity and precision.
