Organized by the Physiotherapy Association of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Oncology Physiotherapy Course will take place on December 5-6, 2024, at the University Clinical Center Tuzla. This course is designed for physiotherapists and specialists in physical medicine and rehabilitation. The program will be led by licensed oncology physiotherapy instructor Siobhan O’Reilly from Ireland and Dr. Dina Barakat, a physiotherapist from Lebanon.
Course participants will receive both theoretical and practical training in tumor rehabilitation.
The course will cover key areas, including tumor assessment and treatment following surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy, along with physiotherapy approaches and patient evaluation. Participants will also engage in sessions on breathing exercises, post-operative exercises, manual therapy, self-drainage techniques, and exercises for managing secondary lymphedema.
Upon completing the course, all participants will be awarded a certificate of completion.
