The First B&H Symposium on Ophthalmology with international participation was held today, 22 April, 2016 in Tuzla. The Symposium, held under the theme “Novelties in the treatment of diseases of the posterior segment of the eye” is organized by the University Clinical Centre Tuzla. The speakers at the Symposium were all eminent eye experts, who in their daily practice examine, diagnose, treat and manage disorders of the posterior segment of the eye.
According to the head of the UKC Tuzla Clinic for Eye Diseases and the president of the organizing committee of the Symposium Prof. Dr. Vahid Jusufović, the richness of scientific program will allow ophthalmologists to present their experience and knowledge in the field of vitroretinal surgery, retinology, choroidal neovascularization, therapeutic approaches in diabetic macular edema and anti-VEGF therapy.
During the opening ceremony, the director of the UKC Tuzla Ass. Prof. Nešad Hotić addressed the guests and participants of the Symposium and one more time highlighted the importance of continuing education in Clinical Center Tuzla in the improvement of health care services for end- users.
The Tuzla Canton Health Minister Dr. Bahrudin Hadžiefendić declared the Symposium officially opened, and wished all the participants successful work, useful and interesting discussions.
