The Second Allergy Symposium with International Participation organized in Tuzla by the UKC Tuzla Clinic for Pulmonary Diseases and the Tuzla Canton Medical Chamber, under the auspices of the Tuzla Canton Government, was successfully held at Dramar center in Slavinovići. The Symposium was an opportunity for doctors in primary, secundary and tertiary health care to exchange experiences and current information in the field of allergy. The two- day event attended pneumophysiologists, ENT specialists, dermatologists, pediatricians and doctors in primary and emergency medicine from the Tuzla and Zenica-Doboj Canton, Belgrade and Osijek.
The head of the Clinic for Pulmonary Diseases and president of the organizing committee of the Symposium Ass. Prof. Suvad Dedić during his speech said that the Symposium in two sessions and fourteen topics provided some new insights in the field of treatment of allergies. He also presented the estimated prevalence of lung diseases among the population. This year the Symposium provided participants with training program in pulmonary function and spirometry.
Speaking at the opening ceremony the director of the University Clinical Center Tuzla Ass. Prof. Nešad Hotić said that the mission of our hospital is continuing education that promotes and improves healthcare service quality. During the past year, the UKC Tuzla hosted 27 different scientific meetings attended by 11000 participants, he said.
The opening ceremony of the Second Allergy Symposium also attended Minister of Health Dr. Bahrudin Hadžiefendić and Prime Minister of Tuzla Canton Mr.Bego Gutić, who declared the Symposium open.
