The University Clinical Center Tuzla, Clinic for Gynecology and Obstetrics opened a newly renovated unit of gynecologic oncology yesterday in the presence of numerous guests and media. The new layout will improve patients experience of compassionate and emotional care and support during hospital stay. In a continued effort to provide greater efficiency in caring for inpatients as well as to implement advanced services and health care practice , the UKC Tuzla Clinic of Gynecology and Obstetrics managed to meet the needs of the most complex and seriously ill patients, said Prof.Dr. Dženita Ljuca, head of the Clinic while welcoming guests.
“Our utmost concern in the hospital setting are the most vulnerable populations, especially women, and that’s the reason why we decided to modernize the unit of gynecologic oncology together with our friends” said Prof. Dr. Ljuca.
The event was also an opportunity to present the results of the Clinic of Gynecology and Obstetrics from the previous year. In the year 2016, the Clinic provided 38000 health care services, 80000 examinations and counselings, and staff members assisted in the delivery of 3674 babies.
On the occasion Ass Prof. Nešad Hotić, director of the University Clinical Center said that our hospital is a guided by clear vision, mission and consistent values to be the region’s top class hospital in terms of healthcare treatment. The new areas are designed to continue to provide high- quality care and comfortable environment to our patients for many years to come, he said.
The present guest also welcomed the Tuzla Canton Health Minister Dr Bahrudin Hadžiefendić, who announced the opening of the Department for Human Reproduction at the same Clinic in the near future.
The opening ceremony served as a reminder of how important is the role and responsibility of the University Clinical Center Tuzla for the well- being of all citizens in the Tuzla Canton. The Premier of the Tuzla Canton Bego Gutić, one more time confirmed the commitment of the Government to give support in the execution of the projects in the University Clinical Center Tuzla.
At the end of the ceremony, individuals, companies and media who contributed in spreading awareness about this serious disease and supported the project were awarded with a letters of appreciation.
