The Sixth Symposium on Lung Diseases with international participation was opened today in Tuzla in the presence of numerous guests. The organizers of the symposium is the Clinic for Pulmonary Diseases, University Clinical Center Tuzla and the Society of Respiratory Medicine, under auspices of the Tuzla Canton Government.This symposium is intended for pneumo physiologists, surgeons, anesthesiologists, radiologists, pediatricians and doctors from primary care, who will share recent experiences and knowledge in the field of lung diseases.
During the opening ceremony Ass. Prof. Suvad Dedić, head of the Clinic for Pulmonary Diseases welcomed the guests and announced several eminent experts from Turkey, Croatia, Slovenia and Bosnia and Herzegovina who will cover an array of topics from this medical field in their presentations. He also announced a public discussion on current topic “Environmental Pollution and Respiratory Disease”, as well as interventional ultrasonography of the chest workshop.
Ass. Prof. Nešad Hotić, director of the University Clinical Center Tuzla and Minister of Health of the Tuzla Canton Government, Dr. Bahrudin Hadžiefendić also delivered an opening address to welcome all participants of the Symposium.
The Symposium was then formally declared open by Premier of the Tuzla Canton Government Bego Gutić.
