The Clinic for Neurology, University Clinical Center Tuzla and the Student Council of the Medical faculty, University of Tuzla will once again join in celebration of World Stroke Day 2018. As in the rest of the world, World Stroke Day is celebrated in Tuzla on October 29 with aim to underscore the nature of the disease and to raise public awareness of the prevention and treatment of the condition. The day was established in 2006 by the World Stroke Organization. In Tuzla, the day has been celebrated since 2014 as the Clinical Center Tuzla became the official partner of the WSO.
The main goal of the project is population health education with regard to recognize stroke risk factors and the importance of acting fast to get medical help.
This year’s WSD campaign #UpAgainAfterStroke: Support for Life After Stroke will take place on 28th October in Tuzla, Bingo City Center and Mercator Centre and Gračanica downtown in the period 11 to 14 hours. Health care professionals and medical students will take active part in this campaign and provide extensive consultations for stroke survivors and other citizens on what matters most in relation to stroke treatment and recovery.
