Today, on 6 November, 2019, within the framework of the NeurNet project the Clinic for Neurology, University Clinical Center Tuzla in a solem ceremony received necessary equipment for video- EEG monitoring and Cabinet for Telemedicine. The value of this donation is 64 000 KM.
The donated equipment was acquired as a part of the NeurNet project “Care management for patients with pharmacoresistant epilepsy and patients with late stage Parkinson’s disease”. It is a Cross-Border Cooperation Programme financed by the Delegation of the European Union to Bosnia and Herzegovina under the Interreg IPA CBC Programme Croatia- Bosnia and Herzegovina- Montenegro.
“Owing to this comprehensive equipment, diagnostics and treatment of patients suffering from pharmacoresistant epilepsy and patients with late stage Parkinson’s disease will be significantly improved, and we will be able to establish the direct networking with a referral center for the disease in Zagreb. Our patients in the Federation BiH won’t need to travel abroad anymore to obtain medical treatment.” said Dr. Leila Avdić on the occasion.
Dženita Hukić, project manager, explained that the NeurNet project partners are the Federal Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Health Montenegro, and the Croatian Institute of Emergency Medicine. The project is funded by the European Commission.
