Within the project INTERREG IPA-CBC HR-BA-ME182 of NeurNet -network for patients with pharmacoresistant epilepsy and patients with late stage Parkinson’s, the Ministry of Health of Montenegro hosted education event on the theme” The exchange of knowledge, skills and examples of good practice” during the last week.
The event was attended by a leading team for this project in Bosnia and Herzegovina Ass. Prof. Nihad Mešanović elect.eng., head of the Department for IT, Ass. Prof. Amra Iljazović M.D., neurologist, and Ass. Prof. Leila Avdić M.D., neurologists all from the University Clinical Center Tuzla.
By using modern technologies, information/ communications systems and telemedicine the IPA project NeurNet has enabled a better regional cooperation and care of patients with pharmacoresistant epilepsy and patients with late stage Parkinson’s. In this way the finest treatments and the most up-to- date medical services are going to be provided for these patients at their hospital and their place of living, while reducing waiting lists and travel costs at the same time, thus making a significant improvement in health care delivery.
