On Friday, the director of the University Clinical Center Tuzla Ass. Prof. Alen Kamerić hosted ceremony to mark and honor the incredible contributions in engaging our employees to save lives and protect community during the novel coronavirus. A posthumous recognitions are awarded to Prof. Dr. Sead Jamakosmanović, Prof. Dr. Suvad Dedić, Dr. Jovan Petković, Dr. Izmir Sijerčić, Dr. Adnan Burina, and two nurses Senada Hodžić nand Nevzeta Okić. On behalf of deceased employees the posthumous recognitions accepted their immediate families. Clinical Center Tuzla also has honored with recognitions several organizations and individuals the World Bank in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the European Union and UNDP, the Tuzla Canton Assembly president Slađan Ilić, Prime Minister Kadrija Hodžić, the Tuzla City Mayor Jasmin Imamović, and Health Minister Božo Jurić for their strong commitment to the common good in the fight against COVID- 19 pandemic.
On the occasion the director Kamerić addressed our guests and said that although the year 2021 was extremely challenging and marked by COVID- 19 pandemic, our health professionals made every possible effort, within available resources, to be available to citizens of the Tuzla Canton and beyond. “By sacrificing their lives eight of our doctors and two nurses unfortunately lost the battle in the fight against COVID- 19, and with these recognitions we want to express our deep gratitude for they personal effort and everything they did to save people’s lives in these unprecedented and challenging times.” said director Kamerić.
On behalf of the Tuzla Canton Assembly president Slađan Ilić also expressed respect and honored the deceased employees of the University Clinical Center Tuzla. He also said that the Tuzla Canton Government and Assembly will continue to support development of Clinical Center Tuzla in order to improve and strengthen health system in the community.
