Installation of 128 slice CT scanner worth approximately 1.5 million BAM at the Clinic for Radiology and Nuclear Medicine was done yesterday. Design of a new CT scanner will minimize motion artifacts when imaging is performed in pediatric patients as well as in patients in critical condition.
In addition to CT scanner, a new digital X- ray machine designed with the overhead projector has been installed, and Dr. Samir Cipurković, head of the Clinic on this occasion explained that this equipment also help monitoring the functional movements of individual organs in the body. “Acquisition of the latest and high end imaging equipment is an important moment for its features put us at an advantage for pediatric diagnostic imaging and procedures that we could not perform before. This equipment will also be very useful for colleagues urologists. ” said Dr. Cipurković.
The director of the University Clinical Center Tuzla Ass. Prof. Alen Kamerić said that in the process of realizing our mission of improving diagnostic results the Clinic for Radiology and Nuclear Medicine has got seven excellent quality imaging machines during the past three months, making this Clinic as one of the most modern and best equipped in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
