Professor Milivoj Subakov dedicated his entire professional career to his hometown of Tuzla. The profound impact of his unwavering commitment to the well-being of his patients continues to resonate as a lasting testament, even years following his retirement. The professor’s meticulously cultivated interpersonal relationships elevated both his stature and his work to a level that proves elusive for many in the medical profession.
Brilliantly conducting pedagogical neurological work, he adeptly educated multiple generations of aspiring doctors, paving the path for the pursuit and mastery of knowledge and science. All those who closely followed his steps received a much- needed sense of decency and gentility from him. Known and loved throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina, but also from Triglav to Đevđelija, he captivated everyone.
We did not lose touch with him when he moved to the plains of Vojvodina, he remained firmly entrenched in our thoughts and memories. Now, in departing to a better world, he got even closer to our hearts and emotions. A lot of water will pass through Solina and Jala, Tisza and Danube, before such a bard is born and lasts.
The funeral of late Prof.Dr. Subakov is on Wednesday, April 24 at 12:45 p.m. at the City Cemetery in Novi Sad.
