The Symposium “Pulmonary Diseases with International Participation” organized by the Clinic for Pulmonary Disease, the University Clinical Center Tuzla and the Respiratory Medicine Association of BiH, in collaboration with the Medical Chamber of Tuzla Canton , will take place from April 25th to 27th. This symposium serves as a platform for acquiring new insights into preventive strategies, timely identification, diagnosis, and treatment of underlying pulmonary conditions, addressing consequential disabilities that underscore significant health and social concerns.
In addition to the scheduled Symposium agenda, a workshop focusing on Basic Chest Ultrasound will be conducted as an integral component of the symposium. “As organizers, our objective was to present the latest guidelines pertaining to access and early diagnosis,” stated Dr. Dženan Halilović, M.Sc., Head of the Clinic for Pulmonary Diseases. “I am optimistic that the Symposium will yield insights leading to enhancements in diagnostic and treatment protocols.”, he said.
The opening ceremony of the “Lung Diseases with International Participation” symposium drew a notable gathering of dignitaries, including esteemed experts in pulmonology. Professor Dr. Ervin Alibegović, director for teaching and scientific research at University Clinical Center Tuzla, who underscored the significance of linking up scientific research with practical application as a strategic imperative of the University Clinical Center Tuzla. He emphasized that the thematic diversity and innovative approaches in therapy reflected in the selected topics and forthcoming lectures. Professor Dr. Alibegović expressed optimism that this gathering would foster the establishment of amicable and scholarly professional networks.
