As part of the commemoration of the 29th anniversary of the genocide against Bosniaks, a meeting took place between Professor Dr. Šekib Umihanić, the director of the University Clinical Center Tuzla, and a representatives of the organizing committee for the “March for Peace. This meeting, held at the University Clinical Center Tuzla, focused on coordinating the participation of Clinical Center Tuzla teams and providing medical support for the forthcoming “Peace March.”
According to the organizing committee members, this year’s “March for Peace” is anticipated to be one of the largest events commemorating the anniversary of the genocide. With thousands of participants expected, there is a critical need for medical personnel and teams to offer immediate medical assistance and, if required, facilitate transportation to healthcare facilities via medical vehicles.
Professor Dr. Umihanić, the director, highlighted the University Clinical Center Tuzla’s consistent engagement in offering medical assistance during annual events commemorating the genocide anniversary. He emphasized his personal role as the coordinator of medical teams for the past two “Peace for March” events. As the institution’s director, he promised to extend maximum assistance and support for the upcoming 29th-anniversary activities.
