A delegation from the Bosnian-Podrinje Canton paid a productive working visit to the University Clinical Center Tuzla. The delegation comprised the Minister for Social Policy, Health, Displaced Persons, and Refugees, Senad Čeljo, the Deputy Director of the BPK Health Insurance Institute, Emir Pršeš, and the Director of the Goražde Cantonal Hospital, Dr. Fuad Rovčanin, along with their respective associates.
The distinguished guests were welcomed by Professor Šekib Umihanić, Director of the University Clinical Center Tuzla. Throughout the meeting, extensive discussions were held regarding the ongoing collaboration between the two institutions, particularly in the provision of healthcare services to the patients of the Bosnian-Podrinje Canton. Additionally, deliberations focused on addressing the critical need for personnel support in response to the shortage of medical staff at the Goražde Cantonal Hospital.
The director of Clinical Center Tuzla expressed gratitude for the visit and underscored the institution’s readiness for collaboration, emphasizing its commitment to engage additional medical staff within existing resources to ensure sufficient healthcare provision for the population of the Bosnian-Podrinje Canton.
At the conclusion of the meeting, it was affirmed that procedural steps would be promptly undertaken in the forthcoming days to initiate the renewal process of the Agreement on Cooperation. Additionally, specific planned activities were outlined for implementation.
