Prof. Dr. Kanita Dervić, a specialist in psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry from AKH Vienna and a professor at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Vienna, is visiting the Clinic for Psychiatry at the Clinical Center Tuzla for a professional engagement.
The purpose of this visit is to strengthen the successful collaboration on scientific research with Prof. Dr. Nermina Kravić and the Clinic for Psychiatry at University Clinical Center Tuzla. According to Prof. Dr. Dervić, this collaboration has already yielded significant recognition, including the “Ernst Berger” award in social psychiatry, presented by the Association of Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists of Austria. Prof. Dr. Dervić noted, “The paperwork of Prof. Dr. Kravić has enhanced the visibility of Bosnian child psychiatry within the international scientific community. We aim to expand this collaboration to include our enthusiastic young colleagues.”
Prof. Dr. Nermina Kravić, head of the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at University Clinical Center Tuzla, expressed gratitude for the visit and emphasized the honor of having international colleagues available for consultation in both clinical practice and scientific research. She stated, “With the completion of renovations in the Department for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, we will have the necessary conditions for patient treatment. Additionally, we aim to focus on the prevention of mental disorders in children and adolescents, which is extremely relevant at this time. We look forward to receiving support from Prof. Dr. Dervić, particularly in the area of education.”
