Prof. Dr. Fuad Pašić, an abdominal surgeon at the Clinic for Surgery, University Clinical Centr Tuzla, was an invited lecturer at the 12th International Congress on Person-Centered Medicine. The event, held in Zagreb, was organized by the International Network of Person-Centered Medicine in collaboration with the Faculty of Medicine, University of Zagreb, the Zagreb Institute for the Culture of Health, and the Andrija Štampar School of Public Health.
For the past 15 years, the International Network of Person-Centered Medicine has been advancing the principles of person-centered healthcare. Through a range of activities, it collaborates with leading international institutions and organizations, maintaining close cooperation with the World Health Organization. This year’s congress focused on the theme “Total Health and Total Care,” reflecting the latest global trends in medicine and healthcare. Prof. Dr. Fuad Pašić presented a paper titled “Treatment of Obesity at the University Clinical Center Tuzla.”
In October, he also served as an invited lecturer at the inaugural Montenegrin Congress on Obesity Awareness, held in Budva and organized by the Montenegrin Association for the Study of Obesity. The congress aimed to emphasize the fact that obesity has, over the past few decades, reached pandemic levels worldwide. The congress on obesity gathered numerous distinguished experts from endocrinology, pediatrics, cardiology, nephrology, surgery, and oncology.
Prof. Dr. Pašić delivered an invited lecture titled “Bariatric Surgery Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow – Where Are We with Bariatric Surgery at the University Clinical Center Tuzla.” His presentation sparked significant interest among the congress participants.
