A solemn ceremony organized at the University Clinical Center Tuzla today by Clinic for Infectious Diseases marked the completion of the second phase of renovation and reconstruction project of the Clinic. At this stage, the contractors have made renovation and reconstruction of in-patient sanitary facilities.
As a reminder, the employees of the UKC Tuzla Clinic for Infectious Diseases launched a charity campaign called “From the Barrack to the Clinic” during the last year. The campaign aimed to celebrate 130th Anniversary of the Clinic, which back in 1886 was simply known as “Cholera Barrack”. The first phase of the project included renovation of the existing Daily hospital, Laboratory for clinical skills, as well as outpatient waiting room
On the occasion Prof. Dr. Sead Ahmetagić, Head of the Clinic for Infectious Diseases expressed his satisfaction for the overall humanitarian response from socially responsible institutions and philanthropists during the campaign. He thanked for the generous donations and promised that he will continue to work on improvements of the standards of patient care and the best working conditions for employees.
Addressing the guests and medical personnel at the ceremony Ass. Prof. Nešad Hotić, Director of the University Clinical Center Tuzla expressed satisfaction on the results of the project. ” The UKC Tuzla currently runs a number of different projects such as the project of thermal insulation upgrading of Gradina, the renovation and repair projects of the Clinic for Internal Medicine -Department of Cardiology and Clinic for Pulmonary Diseases and two forthcoming projects on the Clinic for Children’s Diseases and Clinic for Psychiatry.”
After visiting the newly refurbished premises all donors were awarded with letter of thanks.
