The final phase of thermal insulation upgrading of the UKC Tuzla oldest facility “Gradina” is currently underway. On that occasion, Dr Bahrudin Hadžiefendić, Minister of Health of the Tuzla Canton accompanied by Ass. Prof. Nešad Hotić, Director of the UKC Tuzla visited Gradina reconstruction site to inspect the ongoing works on installing new windows and the improvement of the thermal insulation properties of the roof and facade. According to Minister, Dr. Hadžiefendić, this project is the result of a Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Government of Tuzla Canton, the Federal Ministry of Spatial Planning and University Clinical Center Tuzla with aim to implement energy- efficiency measures in the University Clinical Centre Tuzla.
” I must express my satisfaction at what we have achieved only four months after the MOA is signed. The Tuzla Canton Government and Ministry of Health are fully aware of the importance and role of Clinical Center Tuzla in the health care sector even at the national level, and in relation to that, we will continue to support its modernization in many ways.” said Dr. Hadžiefendić.
As a reminder, energy- efficiency measures in the UKC Tuzla have been conducted within the Energy Efficiency Project in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and according to the project plan, the reconstruction works which started on 1 February should be completed by the end of May this year.
