The representatives of the Ministry of the Security (Mos) of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Euro-Atlantic Disaster Response Coordination Centre (EADRCC) visited Clinical Center Tuzla today as part of the final preparations for NATO’s consequence management field exercise.
During the reception Ass. Prof Nešad Hotić introduced our guests with organizational structure, the most important and ongoing projects in the University Clinical Center Tuzla. After the meeting they paid a visit to the outpatients clinics for surgery, orthopedy and trauma and were introduced with hospital policies for admission to critical care services.
Dr. Catherine Bertrand, specialist in emergency medicine and medical team leader of NATO exercises has expressed satisfaction with presented working conditions in our hospital. According to her, activities on the ground during the exercise will be based on a scenario that will include floods, an earthquake, landslides and chemical incidents affecting the population and critical infrastructure and checking on medical teams readiness to respond to it.
NATO exercise “Bosna i Hercegovina 2017” that is to be held in September this year in a wider area of Tuzla is of great importance for Bosnia and Herzegovina due to the strengthening of relations with NATO.
