To mark the forthcoming World Immunization Week, the Association of the Medical Faculty Students in Bosnia and Herzegovina, local committee Tuzla (BoHeMSA LC Tuzla) is launching a project “Health and Vaccination” which will be for the first time implemented this year in the period 23 to 29 April, 2018.
As it was reported by the Association, there has been an increasing number of the unvaccinated children due to poor parenteral education about the importance of childhood vaccination and immunization. The project “Health and Vaccination” aims to educate population regarding childhood immunizations in an effort to improve vaccination rate above 95% in the following three years.
The project activities will include a number of different activities, competitions for high school students, public forums, a citizen survey, an audio and video recordings, street actions and community- centered education on the importance of immunization.
In the letter of support to medical students Ass. Prof. Nešad Hotić, director said that the Public Health Institution University Clinical Center Tuzla will strongly support medical students in implementation and realization of this project. Clinical Center Tuzla will provide technical and all other available resources that can contribute to the realization of the project objectives.
