On the occasion of 15 February, International Childhood Cancer Day, Prime Minister of the Tuzla Canton Jakub Suljkanović and Minister of Health dr. Bahrudin Hadžiefendić, together with representatives of the Society of families and friends of children suffering from leukemia and other malignant diseases (PIPOL) paid a visit to hospitalized children at the Department of Hematology and Oncology, Clinic for Children’s Diseases.
During the visit they shared gifts and cards messages of support and encouragements for little patients from their peers from the Tuzla Canton.
International Childhood Cancer Day awareness campaign was also organized in downtown Tuzla, where the Society PIPOL representatives together with medical students from the Association MEDICUS released 60 colorful balloons in the air as a symbol for 60 newly- discovered cases on the territory of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The general public had a chance to see a performance making a large living gold ribbon symbol in expressing support and generating solidarity for the fight against childhood cancer.
