On 9 Friday, 2019, the Coca- Cola company handed over to the University Clinical Center Tuzla, Clinic for Children’s Diseases a valuable donation of NICU (neonatal intensive care union) medical equipment needed for care of prematurely born infants.
The Coca- Cola company in Bosnia and Herzegovina with its natural spring water Olympia has recently launched a project “Let’s support an infant born before 37 weeks of gestation”, during which all the money raised from each Olympia bottle sold will go for equipping of the neonatal intensive care unions and wards.
According to official medical statistics during the past nine years more than 2.787 infants have been born prematurely in the Clinic for Gynecology and Obstetrics,University Clinical Center Tuzla. Within the donation of an estimated value of 31.500 KM, the two bedside neonatal vital signs cardiorespiratory monitors and five pulse oximeters will become available to medical professionals at Clinical Center Tuzla.
On that occasion, Prof.dr. Fahrija Skokić, medical director of the University Clinical Center Tuzla thanked to Coca- Cola representatives for the donation that will help the survival of prematurely born infant.
“We are very much proud of Coca- Cola’s efforts in Bosnia and Herzegovina in providing support to local community, with a particular focus on vulnerable groups of population.
